Meet Stefanie

Stefanie Friedland is the founder and principal designer of Friedland Designs, a Charleston-based interior design studio rooted in a love of collected, timeless interiors.

A native of South Carolina, Stefanie grew up surrounded by family heirlooms and the traditions of Southern homes, spaces that felt layered, personal, and meant to be lived in. That early appreciation for beautiful things and meaningful interiors continues to shape her approach to design today.

After earning a business degree from the College of Charleston, Stefanie spent nearly a decade at Croghan’s Jewel Box, where she developed a discerning eye for craftsmanship, detail, and pieces made to last. Collaborating with a local design firm on a creative project later inspired her to pursue formal training in interior design, earning her certification from the Charleston School of Interior Design.

Stefanie’s work blends classic Southern influence with the relaxed character of coastal living. She is drawn to natural materials, pattern, color, antiques, and pieces with a sense of history, creating interiors that feel collected rather than decorated. Above all, she believes a home should be beautiful, comfortable, and deeply personal to the people who live there.
